In Memory

Phyllis Lewis (Wilson)

Classmate, Jan MacDougall received a cell phone notice on October 9, 2024 that Phyllis Lewis Wilson has sadly passed away.  Phyllis was a first time reunion attender for our 40th reunion at Louis J Jenn Lawrence Park & Conference Center on E. 63rd St. in Lawrence, IN.  Phyllis, and her husband, Mike were great contributors to our 40th reunion decorations and cake that she baked for our 40th Meet & Greet at the Oaklandon Country Club off of Sunnyside & 75th St. in Indianapolis.  They lived up north, off of I-69 in Alexandria, IN. She & Mike stayed at our home in our guest bedroom during the reunion.  They came & went quietly.  They were a sweet, loving couple. One couldn't  imagine one without the other.  They were gracious in their contributions to our 40th reunion celebrations.   Phyllis lost Mike to a heart attack 3 years after our 2012, 40th reunion.  A few years later, Phyllis,  lost her eye sight. Phyllis stayed at our home again to attend our 45th reunion at Saxony in Fishers, IN.  Phyllis had me help her get dressed so that front was front and back was back. She often spoke about Mike and how much she missed him. We missed him too.  She & Mike had become christians together and worked in ministry to share their testimony to help save souls to Christ, Jesus.  They have quite a legacy, touching many lives.  If anyone has a memory to share, please post it.
