Dana Denson (Whitehead)

Dana Denson (Whitehead)

Classmate, Linda Allanson Bromund was a close friend of Dana.  Linda sadly wrote to advise of Dana's death to cancer earlier this year.  Dana had breast cancer some years ago and had been in remission.  A few years back, Dana mailed a large box of wigs she no longer needed  to me at Indiana University Medical Center.  They were gifted to women who wished to wear wigs when they had lost their hair due to cancer treatments.  Sadly, Dana's  cancer returned and she could not overcome it this time.  Her husband and 4 sons, her mother and father bear the pain of the loss of their wife and mother and child.  Dana didn't have to know you to bless you with her love and concern for your wellbeing.  Her death is a painful reality to family, friends and those associated as well. She has richly blessed the lives of countless others.  Her presence and sense of compassion is heartfelt.  She is a great loss to many and is sorely missed.  Dana has gained an eternal heavenly home where she will never have to suffer like she did.  God bless you and keep you Dana..

Dana sat next to me in French class in 10th grade.  We quickly became good friends.  On my birthday that year she got me James Taylor's first album which I still love to this day.  Her spirit was effervescent.  Many good laughs and good times.  I'm sorry she's gone as know the world was better place with her in it.

Thanks to Larry Bilger for posting a specific memory about Dana. I'd much rather find e-mail from friends about friends in my inbox than just about anything else!  Take good care,  It's good to stay in touch.
