Lisa received her high school diploma in Indianapolis, and after attending college, became a medical assistant serving various medical facilities in Virginia, California, and Indianapolis.  She was an avid fan of the Cowsills Band and they dedicated the song "Flower Girl" during a concert in which Lisa had a personal invitation. Lisa was a beloved animal lover, and is now with her kitties, the late Casey, Coco, and Maggie.

She is survived by her two cousins, Kathy Henley Martinez and Robin Clemente, both of Edgewater, MD, her aunt Dixie Eytchison of Florida, her beloved kitty, Annie, and many beloved friends.

I didn't know Lisa in high school however, like many other people we friended on Facebook and were friends for years communicating through face book. She didn't want to talk about her illness and who could blame her? We talked about everything else and of course, The Cowsils. I miss chatting with her and wish her well as she travels the eternities.
Interestingly, we were in Branson, Missouri in last fall (2022) and caught a show at the Andy Williams Theatre featuring the Cowsills. After the show, I happened to be walking up the stairs and realized Susan Cowsill was right in front of me. We we got to the top I approached her and asked if she remembered their biggest fan, Lisa Ellis. Susan's eyes got big and she said; " Oh Yes! Our Hippy Girl! We had a short chat before she had to go. She knew Lisa had passed away and was sorry but it was great the Susan and her brothers remembered her after all this time. I think it would have thrilled Lisa greatly to know this.
